2025 ducati desertx discovery unveiled as fully-loaded adventure bike; check details

Ducati has unveiled a new adventure-ready variant of the DesertX. This dual-purpose motorcycle is an upgrade over the standard version and is being called the 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery. Adorned in Thrilling Black and Ducati Red Livery the bike is the latest addition to the lineup of bikes after the more off-road focused DesertX Rally. To set itself apart the bike comes equipped with multiple accessories as standard.

The Ducati DesertX Discovery gets added protection with reinforced hand guards along with protection plates for the engine which also covers the water pump, radiator grill, and reinforced sump guard. The brand is also offering heated grips as standard equipment with a larger windshield and center stand to make the process of maintenance and luggage loading easier for the rider.

To support all of this and improve the bike's capabilities, it gets fully adjustable Kayaba suspension for preload, rebound, and compression. At the front end, it has an upside-down fork with 230 mm travel and a rear monoshock with 220 mm travel. It holds the ground with a 21-inch spoke wheel in front and an 18-incher at the rear end. These are covered in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Braking is handled by 320 mm discs with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers in front and 265 mm disc at the rear end with two-piston calipers.

To make things easier for the rider, the Italian brand has loaded the bike with features like a two 5-inch TFT-LCD screen which enables multiple connectivity features like turn-by-turn navigation, and more. The bike also gets three riding modes for road use and two for off-road use. Along with this, it gets traction control, three-level cornering ABS, wheelie control, and more.

Powering the Ducati DesertX Discovery is a 937 cc, liquid-cooled Testastretta V-twin engine which produces 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 92 Nm revving at 6,500 rpm. This power is transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox with an up-and-down quick-shifter.
