However, this quintessential dish hasn’t been spared from bizarre food combinations. After watermelon chicken biryani, make way for mango biryani. Surprised? Wait until you see its clip. This unusual foodie experiment was brought forth by Instagram user Heena Kausar Raad. She posted a video showcasing a pot full of mango biryani, which she prepared for a “tropical summer party.”
The clip opens with Heena saying, “Aaj humne banayi hai mango biryani. Toh aap khaoge humari mango biryani? [Today we have prepared mango biryani. Would you like to try this dish]? Because it’s a summer tropical party.” The video shows Heena standing behind a pot full of bright yellow-hued biryani, topped with sliced mango. A plate full of sliced mangoes can also be seen next to the pot. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Mango biryani tropical summer party theme.” Take a look:

In no time, foodies flooded the comments section. Many users claimed that she is hurting the sentiments of the people of Hyderabad, whose authentic style of biryani has won many hearts. One user wrote, "Is this lady out of her mind?" A few users urged her, "Please, can you stop?" A foodie said, "Kindly stop assaulting biryani." Another wrote, "Justice for biryani + mango." Some users claimed that this foodie experiment is almost similar to having pineapple with pizza. "It's the same as putting pineapple on a pizza." "Please don't do this to biryani," requested another person.
