India’s Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Gains Rs 22,000 Crore In Market Cap As Bharti Airtel, Infosys

India's top 10 most-valued firms earned cumulative Rs 22,985 crore in market valuation on Wednesday, with Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. being among the gainers in the session, while State Bank of India and L&T Ltd. emerged as the biggest losers.

Bharti Airtel gained Rs 17,784 crore, taking its market capitalisation to Rs 8.84 lakh crore and Infosys approximately gained Rs 15,735 crore in market capital to Rs 8.04 lakh crore. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is also the gainer of the day.

The benchmark equity indices continued their uptrend on Wednesday, with the NSE Nifty 50 recording its best gaining streak since October 2020 to close at its lifetime high and the S&P BSE Sensex extending gains for the seventh consecutive session.

The Nifty closed 34.6 points or 0.14%, higher at 25,052.35 and the Sensex ended 73.80 points or 0.09%, higher at 81,785.56.

The market capitalisation of the State Bank of India fell by Rs 7,095 crore to Rs 7.21 lakh crore. ICICI Bank also lost Rs 3,764 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 8.59 lakh crore.

RIL remained the most valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank Ltd., Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC, and L&T.
