After a dominating win in the first test, India won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park stadium on Friday, September 27, 2024.

This is the first time in nine years that India has elected to bowl after winning a toss in home conditions. Skipper Rohit Sharma has decided to go with the same side.

Earlier, there was overnight rain which led to a wet outfield. Super-soppers were pressed into service as the ground staff were busy drying the pitch.

India had defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the opening Test in Chennai.
