Ullozhukku, according to its makers, is a drama about lies and deceits in a family and how it affects relationships. It tells the story of a family forced to wait for the floodwaters to subside to bury their loved one, but as they wait, many secrets and lies surface, questioning the very foundation of the family. Urvashi also plays a prominent role in the film, which has Sushin Shyam as the composer.

The film has been directed by Christo Tomy, known for his work on Netflix's true-crime documentary Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case. Ullozhukku is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP & MacGuffin Pictures. Sanjeev Kumar Nair of Reverie Entertainment is the co-producer. The film's technical team comprises Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal and Editor Kiran Das, and Sushin Shyam composing the music and original score.
