Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has delivered a stern warning to Hezbollah, listing senior terrorist commanders recently eliminated by Israeli forces while accusing the Lebanese militant group’s chief Hassan Nasrallah of dragging the country into a “difficult reality.”
During an operational assessment at the Israeli military’s Northern Command on Wednesday, Gallant presented images of slain Hezbollah brigade leaders and claimed over 300 terrorists and commanders from the Iran-backed group have been killed.
“Nasrallah is dragging Lebanon into a very, very difficult reality – one in which the residents of Lebanon will pay the price [suffer as a result of Hezbollah’s actions],” the defense minister cautioned.
The remarks came in response to Nasrallah’s recent speech dismissing Israeli claims about Hezbollah casualties as “inflated numbers.”
Calling out the Hezbollah chief, Gallant asked pointedly, “Aren’t they your people?” as he named several prominent commanders killed, including the head of the Bint Jbeil Brigade, missile expert Abu Madi, senior operative Sid Mechi, and Radwan forces commander Jawad Twil.
