DIXON, Ill. —Multiple people were reported shot inside a gated community in rural Dixon on Wednesday.
The shooting happened around noon in the 400 block of Wild Rice Lane, near Lost Lake, Winnebago fire officials said.
Agencies, including the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management, along with emergency crews from Dixon Rural and City, Oregon, Polo, and Mount Morris, responded to the scene.
It is unclear how many people were injured or what led to the shooting.
