Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on an extensive three-day tour across Jharkhand, Gujarat, and Odisha from September 15-17, 2024, focusing on infrastructure development, renewable energy, and housing initiatives.
The tour kicks off on September 15 in Jharkhand, where PM Modi will flag off the Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat train at Tatanagar Junction Railway Station. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for railway projects worth over Rs. 660 crores, including the Madhupur Bypass line and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot.
The Prime Minister will dedicate the Kurkura-Kanaroan doubling project to the nation and flag off six Vande Bharat trains connecting various cities in eastern India. In a move to boost housing, PM Modi will distribute sanction letters to 20,000 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) beneficiaries and participate in Griha Pravesh celebrations for 46,000 beneficiaries.
On September 16, PM Modi will visit Gujarat, where he will interact with beneficiaries of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Gandhinagar before inaugurating the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST 2024). The day continues with the inauguration of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project, followed by the launch of multiple development projects worth over Rs. 8,000 crores in Ahmedabad.
These projects include railway line quadrupling, road developments, solar power initiatives, and the launch of the Single Window IT System for financial services. The Prime Minister will also sanction over 30,000 houses under PMAY-Gramin and flag off India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, along with several new Vande Bharat trains.
The tour concludes on September 17 in Odisha, where Prime Minister will launch ‘SUBHADRA’, the state’s flagship women-centric scheme expected to benefit over 1 crore women. He will lay the foundation stone for railway projects worth more than Rs. 2,800 crores and initiate National Highway Projects valued at over Rs. 1,000 crores in Bhubaneswar.
The Prime Minister will also release the first instalment of assistance to nearly 13 lakh PMAY-G beneficiaries across 14 states and participate in Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh PMAY beneficiaries nationwide. Additionally, PM Modi will launch the Awaas+ 2024 App for surveying additional PMAY-G households and unveil Operational Guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0.
