Study In New Zealand: Apply For Auckland University of Technology’s Vice Chancellor’s And Doctoral Scholarships

The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is providing an excellent chance for high-achieving students from all over the world to participate in their PhD programs through the AUT Vice Chancellor's PhD Scholarships and the AUT Doctoral Scholarship. These scholarships provide you with the opportunity to do research at one of New Zealand's universities while receiving full funding.

Scholarship overview:

1) AUT Vice Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarships:

  • Available to exceptional students all year round

  • This fellowship is available to recent PhD candidates who have demonstrated remarkable academic accomplishments.

  • The scholarship offers full tuition coverage and a significant stipend to New Zealand-based students.

2) AUT Doctoral Scholarships:

  • Available to all suitably qualified applicants (citizens of New Zealand, permanent residents, and overseas students).

  • The deadlines for applying for these scholarships are November 1, 2024; March 1, 2025; and July 15, 2025.

  • Full tuition expenses and a NZD 33,000 annual living stipend will be provided by AUT.

Eligibility criteria:

1) AUT Vice Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarships:

  • Applications from Māori and domestic Pacific applicants are encouraged, provided their GPA is 7.5 or higher.

  • You have to have finished your most recent qualifying course at a university in New Zealand.

2) AUT Doctoral Scholarship:

  • All students, even those from abroad, are welcome.

  • Candidates must have a first-class honours degree or its equivalent as proof of their academic distinction.

  • A supervisor is essential if your intended field of study doesn't fit with AUT's research capabilities.

Documents requirement:

  • Ensure you have a transcript of your academic record.

  • A resume

  • A two-page research proposal outlining the purpose, approach, and design of your project.

  • Remember to bring up your suggested supervisor.
