“Rajinikanth-Style Dosas”: Mumbai Street Vendor’s Skills Go Viral

It won’t be wrong to say that dosa is no longer just a staple breakfast in South Indian households. These golden crepes made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal are all things yummy. Recently, a street stall vendor made waves on the Internet with his “Rajinikanth-Style Dosas.” The viral video shared on Instagram is from a street-side food stall in Dadar, Mumbai. Unique factor: the process of preparing it. The vendor starts by pouring the batter onto a hot skillet to make four dosas simultaneously. With incredible speed, he flips each dosa over, ensuring it is cooked evenly. Once perfectly crisp, he folds them and swiftly transfers them onto plates. He then hands (flies) them over to his helper, who quickly fills the trays with an array of chutneys.
