India will play England in a rematch of the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday (June 24), as both sides aim to enter the final of the mega event for the third time in history and play the summit clash on June 29 in Barbados.
England have reached the semis despite a defeat to Australia in the group stage and a loss to South Africa in the Super 8s. The Jos Buttler-led side finished second in the table behind the Proteas in the Super 8 with four points to their name.
India are undefeated in the tournament so far, having won three games in the group stage against Pakistan, Ireland, and the United States of America (USA) before a washout against Canada. In the Super 8s, India registered a comfortable wins over Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Australia.

India's Playing XI For England Clash
India dominance in the tournament so far has left no room for any changes as the team has settled on a on a combination across the unit, with the batting making big scores and the bowlers being largely flawless so far.
However, a big cause of worry remains at the top of the order, as the decision to promote Virat Kohli has backfired. Kohli was dismissed for his second duck of the tournament against Australia. Kohli has four single-digit scores in six outings and just 66 runs so far at an average of 11.

India will contemplate the idea of demoting Kohli back to his number three spot, with Yashasvi Jaiswal getting a chance at the top. However, this will mean that the Men in Blue need to drop Shivam Dube and move Rishabh Pant away from the batting position he has so far excelled in. Hence, any such decision remains unlikely at this point in time with widespread changes in a winning combination rather unlikely.
Another option could be for Pant to open, allowing Kohli to take back the number-three spot.
Elsewhere, India is unlikely to make any changes in the bowling unit, but the temptation is to play Yuzvendra Chahal on a spin friendly pitch could arise but dropping either Ravindra Jadeja or Axar Patel will come at the risk of the batting depth.
