An active shooter situation developed in New York's Ithaca on Friday, as per the local reports, following a shooting in West Village. The alleged gunfire in West Village prompted a large police presence in the area. The incident reported from West Hill led to one of two suspected shooter's arrest, the reports added. It is not yet clear if anyone sustained injuries in the alleged gunfire. Additionally, the cops have not yet issued a statement to give details about the reportedly tense situation.
The local media reports added that several shots were fired in the 400 block of Adams Street. The shooting took place at around 1:37 pm, per local time, they said. A large police presence at West Village led several of the residents of Ithaca to take to social media to react to the situation.

The unconfirmed reports from Scanner suggested that the suspects in the incident were two males, who were seen in ski masks moving in a red SUV. Callers report added that eyewitnesses heard at least three to five shots fired and a parked vehicle struck
