SRK Offered Blank Cheque To Gambhir, In BCCI’s Radar, To Be In KKR For…

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), according to several reports, is interested in Gautam Gambhir taking over the role of Indian cricket team coach. Amid lack of alternatives, because of certain overseas coaches’ withdrawal, the BCCI don’t seem to have many top options when it comes to finding Rahul Dravid’s successor as Team India’s head coach. A report has now claimed that Gambhir, who is the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 at present, was offered a ‘blank cheque’ by the franchise’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan to join the franchise for the next 10 years, when he was at Lucknow Super Giants.
A report in Dainik Jagran has suggested that Gambhir is also interested in the India head coach job. But, wants a guarantee over his 100% selection if he fills out the application for the role. If the BCCI is only looking at Gambhir as one of the ‘candidates’, he isn’t going to apply.
As the BCCI looks to intensify its effort of giving a contract to Gambhir, the report reveal..

Rishi Sunak Faces Mass Exodus As 78 MPs Resign Ahead Of General Election

After declaring a general election for July 4, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is reportedly spending his first Saturday with his closest advisers as he takes an “unusual step” of a day away from public events over the first weekend of the campaign.
The 44-year-old Indian-origin leader is taking some private time out with his aides and family amid a mass exodus of senior members of Parliament from his embattled Conservative Party.
Cabinet ministers Michael Gove and Andrea Leadsom became the latest Tory frontliners to announce their decision to not stand for re-election in this summer’s polls, taking the number of party members quitting the race to as many as 78.
Gove’s announcement in a letter released on social media on Friday evening had been anticipated amid strong challenges to incumbent Tories in constituencies around the country.
Leadsom released her own letter shortly after, writing to Sunak: “After careful reflection, I have decided not to stand as a candid..

Swati Maliwal Alleges Rape, Death Threats After Video By YouTuber

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Sunday said that she has been receiving rape and death threats after a “character assassination” campaign allegedly orchestrated by party leaders and volunteers.
She said that the situation escalated after the YouTuber Dhruv Rathee posted a one-sided video against her.
“After the leaders and volunteers of my party, i.e., AAP orchestrated a campaign of character assassination, victim shaming, and fanning of emotions against me, I have been getting rape and death threats. This got further exacerbated when YouTuber @Dhruv_Rathee posted a one-sided video against me,” Ms Maliwal wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
Swati Maliwal accused the party leadership of trying to intimidate her into withdrawing her complaint. She also expressed disappointment with Dhruv Rathee, saying that despite her efforts to contact him and share her side of the story, he ignored her calls and messages.

Hamas Says It Launched ‘Big Missile’ Attack On Tel Aviv

Hamas armed wing al-Qassam Brigades said it launched a “big missile” attack on Tel Aviv on Sunday as the Israeli military sounded sirens in the central city warning of possible incoming rockets.
In a statement on its Telegram channel on Sunday, al-Qassam Brigades said the rockets were launched in response to what it called “Zionist massacres against civilians”.
Hamas Al-Aqsa TV said the rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip.
Rocket sirens had not been heard in Tel Aviv for the past four months. The reason for the sirens was not immediately stated by the Israeli military.
Israeli emergency medical services said they had received no reports of casualties.
The attack signalled the Islamist faction was still able to fire long-range rockets despite more than seven months of devastating Israeli military offensive from the air and the ground.
