Bangladesh PM leaves for New Delhi for two day State Visit

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today left for New Delhi to pay a two days State Visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage left Dhaka for New Delhi on a special Bangladesh Biman flight at 2:00 pm on Friday.

This will be the first incoming bilateral State Visit after the formation of the government in India following the 18th Lok Sabha elections, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in a press release on Thursday.

During the visit, apart from holding bilateral consultations with the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to call-on the President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is scheduled to call-on the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was among the international leaders who attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister and the Union Council of Ministers on 09 June 2024, said the press release.
