In April 2024, Frontier Communications experienced service disruptions due to a cyberattack that compromised some of its IT systems, BleepingComputer reported. The attackers, suspected to be a cybercrime group, infiltrated Frontier's IT systems on April 14, gaining unauthorized access to personally identifiable information (PII).
Frontier disclosed this incident in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission but did not specify the owners of the exposed PII.
