Indian Embassy in Riyadh Commemorates 78th Independence Day with Community Celebration

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh marked the 78th Independence Day of India with a grand celebration on Thursday. The event was attended by over 500 people, including Embassy officials, journalists, and members of the Indian community.

The festivities began with the hoisting of the Indian tricolor by Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, who also delivered the President’s message to the nation.

In his address, the Ambassador highlighted the growing ties between India and Saudi Arabia and extended best wishes to the Indian diaspora. He also emphasized the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” meaning “the world is one family.”

The ceremony featured vibrant cultural performances by members of the Indian community, and participants joined in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Earlier, a special program was held on August 14th to observe Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, with active participation from the Indian community.
