Paralympics LIVE: Praveen Kumar Wins Gold In Men’s T64 High Jump

Paralympics 2024 LIVE Updates: Long jumper Praveen Kumar won India’s sixth gold medal at Paris Paralympics 2024 in the men’s F64 event. Praveen scripted a new Asian record with an attempt of 2.08m, which was also his best attempt of the event, on his way to the gold medal. Praveen took India’s medal tally to 26. India have now won six gold medals in Paris, which is the country’s best ever tally at any Paralympics. Earlier in the day, Simran, accompanied by her guide Abhay Singh, topped Heat 5 with a timing of 25.41s. Meanwhile Dipesh Kumar disappointed with a seventh place finish in Men’s Javelin Throw F54 final. Also, Dilip Mahadu Gavit qualified for Men’s 400m T47 final with his season best timing of 49.54s.
