Pay More To Get Pollution Certificate For Your Vehicle In Delhi: Government

The Delhi government has announced a hike in the pollution check fees for vehicles, marking the first such increase in thirteen years. The decision, announced by Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, aims to align the fees with rising operational costs associated with pollution checking services.

“In response to the long-pending demands of the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association and to keep up with the rising costs of pollution checking services, we have decided to revise the rates,” said Kailash Gahlot.

Effective immediately, petrol, CNG, and LPG-powered two and three-wheelers will now require a pollution check fee of Rs 80. Similarly, petrol, CNG, and LPG-fueled four-wheelers will incur a fee of Rs 110. Diesel-powered vehicles will be subject to a pollution check fee of Rs. 140.

“We remain committed to maintaining Delhi’s air quality and ensuring that all vehicles meet the required pollution standards,” he added.
