Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Sunday to attend the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations, according to Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold key bilateral meetings in New York.

In a post on X, Jaiswal said, “PM Narendra Modi has arrived in New York, the second leg of his three-day visit to the USA. He will address the UN Summit of the Future, interact with the community, and attend other programs.”

Members of the Indian diaspora have gathered eagerly at Hotel Lotte Palace, where PM Modi is expected to arrive. Several people were seen waving Indian flags and chanting slogans such as ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ in excitement.

“We are here to welcome our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. We are very excited to meet and greet him personally,” said a member of the Indian diaspora in New York.
