Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Rs 54,000 Crore In Market Cap, Led By RIL, HUL.

The top 10 most-valued firms gained cumulative Rs 31,325 crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Reliance Industries and ITC emerging as the biggest gainers. Infosys Ltd. and ICICI Bank were among the losers in the session.

RIL gained 31,325 crores, taking its market capitalisation to Rs 20.50 lakh crore and ITC approximately gained Rs 9,613 crore with its market cap gaining to Rs 6.3 lakh crore. SBI., Bharti Airtel Ltd., HUL Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd., TCS Ltd., and L&T Ltd. were also among the gainers on the day.

The benchmark equity indices continued their uptrend on Wednesday, with the NSE Nifty 50 recording its best gaining streak since October 2020 to close at its lifetime high and the S&P BSE Sensex extending gains for the seventh consecutive session.

The Nifty closed 34.6 points or 0.14%, higher at 25,052.35 and the Sensex ended 73.80 points or 0.09%, higher at 81,785.56.

During the day, the Nifty rose as much as 0.45% to its highest level of 25,129.60 and the Sensex jumped 0.40% to 82,039.65, 90 points shy of its lifetime high.

The market capitalisation of Infosys Ltd. dropped by Rs 3,695 crore to Rs 8.01 lakh crore. ICICI Bank also lost nearly Rs 774 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 8.6 lakh crore.

RIL remained the most valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank Ltd., Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC and L&T.
