Triumph Street Triple R Prices Slashed By Up To Rs 48,000

Triumph has slashed the prices of the Street Triple R for Indian consumers. After the changes, the middle-weight naked street bike now comes priced at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the Pure White, and Silver Ice colours of the bike more affordable by Rs 48,000. At the same time, the more expensive Matt Baja Orange and the Crystal White version of the bike have received a price cut of Rs 22,000 and now will be available at Rs 10.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

Meanwhile, the Street Triple RS has become more expensive with the addition of Rs 14,000 in its price range. The bike in its Carnival Red, Phantom Black, and Cosmic Yellow colours will now be available at Rs 12.21 lakh (ex-showroom). The Silver Ice version of the bike has become more affordable by Rs 12,000 at Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Based on the same platform, both the bikes differ from each other in the hardware. The RS version of the bike uses Showa Big Piston USD forks at the front end while the rear end gets Ohlins monoshock. While the Street Triple R gets Showa Separate Function forks and Show monoshock. However, the units used on both bikes are fully adjustable.

Both Street Triple RS and R are taken care of by twin 310 mm floating discs at the front. However, the RS gets Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers while the R gets Brembo M4.32 radial monoblock calipers while the rear brakes on both bikes are the same.

Both the Triumph Street Triple RS and Street Triple R have a 765 cc inline 3-cylinder liquid-cooled engine working with a 6-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate slipper clutch. However, the power output of the Street Triple RS is 118.4 bhp which is slightly more than the 128.2 bhp of the Street Triple R.
