Ahmedabad: Residents of Vastral area in the city are witnessing terror of monkeys day and night and several such incidents have come to light from Ahmedabad East in the last three days. Monkeys have reportedly attacked 20-25 people in the area, including 8 children.

The CCTV footages of the area shows how a monkey attacked a girl in the basemen, a woman on the stairs of her floor and another woman outside her house.

Responding to the menace, three teams of the forest department along with the zoological team of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) are now running a mega drive in Vastral to catch monkeys.
