We have achieved target of zero casualty : Odisha CM Manjhi on Cyclone Dana

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Manjhi on Friday said that there were no recorded casualties from Cyclone Dana, praising the successful planning and execution efforts.

“There is no report of any death of any human life. Our zero casualty Mission has been successful with cooperation of everyone,” the CM said.

“We have shifted more than six lakh people to safer places. Airport services have returned to normal. The first flight in the state landed at 9 a.m. today, and all road blockages have been now cleared”, the Odisha CM added.

Manjhi also confirmed that by evening, electricity will be restored in all areas, including the worst-hit districts of Kendrapara, Balasore, and Bhadrak.

In Balasore, residents sought refuge in shelters where food was distributed to those affected.

The National Disaster Response Force has been deployed in Dhamra to remove uprooted trees as part of the ongoing recovery efforts.
